Dr. Kat is a Physical Therapist (PT), not a Veterinarian; therefore, she cannot provide any medical advice or prescriptions, and will require clearance from your primary veterinarian so they can work together to create the most successful plan of care for your dog. This will also allow us to remain in contact should any additional medical concerns arise. Once you have spoken with us we will request a signed referral from your veterinarian as well as the medical records.
Together we will review the information you and your veterinarian provide, discuss what the current limitations are and what your goals are for you and your dog. A thorough examination will be completed highlighting your dog's needs so an individualized program can be developed. Rehabilitation will begin on the first day, and you will be provided with a few tasks to perform as home exercises. This is a journey between all of us - Dr. Kat, your PT, you as the pet parent and your dog; progress and current plan of care will constantly be reassessed so adjustments can be made if necessary. Regular communication will be maintained between Dr Kat and your primary veterinarian, keeping your pet's welfare first and foremost in the plan of care.
We back the blue and provide discounts to active and retired police officers.
